Friday, April 15th
Today was a day of the BIG tests.  After arriving at the hospital at 7 am it wasn't long till they took us back to start Kylie on her happy juice as they call it.  Kylie remembered this happy juice from the last trip and wasn't so happy about it!  Last trip she was hysterical as she got loopy, this time around she was just plain sad and grouchy.  I'm guessing it was some of remembering IV's and lack of sleep the last couple days.  The nurse said it's very unusual to be able to schedule all 3 of the tests she had at once, another blessing.  Her first was the brain mri, then the heart mri, and ended with a cardiac cath.  About 1:30 we were able to be with her as she came out of anesthesia.  After a cardiac cath you need to lay flat for 6 hours.  This was the hardest part for her.  About 6 pm she was pretty much done and there was a lot of tears, even after 7 pm and she could be up the tears kept coming.  About an hour later I don't know if it was the tylenol or Grandma returning from a quick trip to the Yawkey house to retrieve some things for Kylie the tears stopped.  We also had another wonderful child life specialist who was amazing with her.  The night ended with more chest x rays and a trip to the cafe on floor one with Kylie for some food, since she didn't eat a thing at dinner while she was upset.  Mom insisted she wanted to stay over night with Kylie this time.  It was difficult for me to leave but truth be told Grandma is right up there with mom and dad in Kylie's book!
As for the medical pieces of today:
- Kylie had some coils put into blood vessels, during the cath.
and this will keep us in the hospital over night.
- We got a preliminary report from one of the cardiologist and
we praise the Lord so far it is looking favorable for the double ventricle repair.
The surgeon will make the final call.
- The brain mri did show a stroke in her past, which is what
the doctors in Lancaster predicted for the limited use
of her right limbs.

THANKS for all your prayers and support!

The best smile we could get at the time.

Two pictures of her talking to family at                                                                                                    home.  She keeps asking to go home.  :(
